I've been a musician for over 25 years now. The moment I picked up the guitar as a kid my life was changed forever… and for the better! Growing up I listened to EVERYTHING. I'm a fan of Rock, Motown, Indie, Metal, Blues, Funk, Pop, Country etc... I grew up in Pittsburgh and Boston, then received my degree from Ohio State University. After graduation I moved to Los Angeles and spent 7 years there, playing guitar and singing professionally - recording, and writing my own music. I was even lucky enough to have a couple songs published in two independent films, and at one point was close to signing a record deal with Universal Records. But, I was labeled "too eclectic" - not a good thing for a major label. It was also quite understandable though, with my wide range of musical influences. So I decided to move to Austin, TX and take a job teaching a songwriting course at ACC based on a book I wrote entitled Beginning Songwriting, and soon after that opened STRUM MUSIC SCHOOL. I owned and operated STRUM for 9 years, and sold it, then moved to Philly. :)
